The Atlanta Dream had no answer for the Golden State Valkyries in Game 7 of the 2026 WNBA Finals as they were handed a 68-63 defeat.
Dream's Angel Reese became a massive topic of discussion for basketball fans as she had a terrible performance in the most important game of her young WNBA career.
Reese finished the game with just 8 points on a 3-of-7 shooting display. The 2026 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year's performance led to a plethora of LeBron James fans finally getting back at her for an X post she made back in 2021.
Three years before Reese got drafted into the WNBA, she made fun of James and the LA Lakers' underwhelming run in the 2021 NBA Playoffs.
The X post was initially resurfaced when James endorsed Caitlin Clark for the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year honours.
Well, fast forward to 2026 and Reese's terrible performance in Game 7 of the WNBA Finals had led James' fanbase to take shots at the Dream star.
"The irony of Angel Reese scoring 8pts in a finals loss after hating on LeBron. Karma," a fan wrote. While another added, "Bron FC always gets the last laugh, Reese was literally NO HELP."
"Bye! Bye! buddy," a third fan stated. "She'll learn to never tweet my GOAT like that again," a fourth fan announced.
"Ms. Bricklayer talking about playing basketball?" a fifth fan asked. While a sixth fan simply added: "Fry her!"
Over the years, many have wondered why James has never spoken out in support of Reese while he has always backed Clark. Well, here's your answer.
