Kim Kardashian’s 46th Birthday Dress Is Basically Just a Bunch of Strategically Placed Strings

Kim Kardashian is gearing up for another trip around the sun.
The Skims founder will turn 46 on October 21, and on October 15, she shared photos from her pre-birthday trip to the Philippines on Instagram. In one snapshot, she donned a brown crochet dress by Mark Fast that was held together by strategically placed strings.

She snapped the picture while posing with pursed lips and a peace sign. She included an additional look at her outfit, from the brand’s spring/summer ‘27 collection, in a photo of herself blowing out her birthday candles.
Elsewhere in the photo carousel, the mother of four enjoyed some serene time on the beach, went scuba diving, and watched the fireworks. “Philippines Birthday Adventures,” she captioned the post.
In an October 3 interview with The Times, Kardashian opened up about how she feels in her 40s. “There’s definitely something about being in your forties that gives you this extra confidence,” she said. “You know your path and that feels good.”

She said her approach to beauty has evolved, too. “I’ve switched my mentality, and now I’m coming from a place of longevity and cellular health. I love trying things to make me feel confident but I’m more into things that contribute to a healthy lifestyle. So right now I’m super into hyperbaric chambers and red light therapy.”
In addition to her skin-baring birthday dress, Kardashian has been wearing a slew of standout looks as of late, and recently began working with Law Roach. At the InStyle Imagemaker Awards on October 15, Roach discussed his “beautiful” new client.
“She is such a beautiful person and nice and easy [to work with],” he told People. “She knows what she wants, but she also lets you create.”

Roach continued, “What’s different from stylist to stylist... it’s just our perception of who the woman is, right? And so what I’m doing with Kim, it’s just the way I see Kim Kardashian. I may see her differently than one of her other stylists, and that’s the beauty about fashion and being creative. It’s just perception.”
