ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky revealed a heartbreaking family update.
In a post on X on Thursday, Oct. 15, the analyst shared the unexpected news of his brother-in-law, Fed Lascano’s death.
“This weekend, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. My brother-in-law, Fed, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind my sister and their three amazing boys,” Orlovsky, 43, wrote.
“There are no words to describe the heartbreak of losing a husband, a partner, and a father so suddenly,” he wrote, noting that his sister Christine “is now facing the overwhelming reality of navigating life as a solo parent and a single-income household, all while helping her boys cope with the loss of their dad,” as she’s in “the midst of trying to process this devastating loss.”

Orlovsky, whose son Madden made headlines last year for his appearance on ESPN for World Autism Awareness Day, continued, writing, “No family should have to face this kind of heartbreak, and no one should have to worry about how they will manage financially while trying to put the pieces of their lives back together.”
A cause of death for Lascano has not been made known.
The analyst encouraged his followers to support the family to “help ease some of the financial burden and allow them the time and space they need to grieve, heal, and begin navigating this new reality.”
A GoFundMe has been established to support Christine and their three sons: Brayden, 18, Cameron, 16, and Colton 11.
