Brown, who was activated from injured reserve with an ankle injury ahead of Sunday's AFC East showdown with the Jets. Elsewhere, the Eagles and Ravens will be without their starting quarterbacks, as Jalen Hurts landed on IR this week with a blood clot in his leg, and Lamar Jackson continues to work his way back from an ankle issue.
There are four teams out on a bye in Week 6 — the Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings — so, while they rest up, follow along with us and enjoy the action.
Follow along with Yahoo Sports for live updates, highlights and more from Week 6's Sunday game slate.
Giants running back Cam Skattebo has logged a fumble in four of five games this season, including one that very nearly cost them the Giants the game (well… it ended up in a tie, but still) in Week 5.
Now, the team is considering a shakeup in the rotation, with Najee Harris reportedly set to take on a larger role in the offense, per ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan.
Harris signed with the Giants coming off a season-ending Achilles injury with the Chargers last season, with 27 carries for 97 yards through four games, averaging 3.6 yards per carry.
The Philadelphia Eagles will be without running back Saquon Barkley for the second straight week, but will get wide receiver DeVonta Smith back after a two-game absence.
Barkley will sit out against the Carolina Panthers due to a hamstring injury. After exiting four snaps into Week 4, the running back sat out last week's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
Smith has not played since Week 3, missing the past two games with his own hamstring issue. He had no injury designation on the Friday injury report.
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is being removed from the commissioner-exempt list, the NFL announced Friday.
Jacobs had been placed on the list on Aug. 30 after a domestic abuse arrest last May. In Friday's statement, the league said that the investigation into Jacobs' arrest "remains ongoing and is not affected" by Jacobs being removed from the list.
Jacobs will be officially taken off the list on Monday. He will be eligible to make his season debut in Week 7, as the Packers take on the Detroit Lions on Oct. 25.
Jacobs was arrested in northern Wisconsin on May 26 and charged with multiple counts of domestic abuse. The charges stemmed from an incident three days prior, when Jacobs allegedly grabbed a woman trying to leave his garage and threw her to the ground.
Jacobs was formally charged with two of those counts, battery and criminal damage to property, the week before he was placed on the commissioner exempt list. He pleaded no contest to both charges last month.
It's always notable where respected bettors have landed on this week's games. While these prices may not currently be available at all sportsbooks, knowing where sharps have wagered can also be instructive for in-game wagering.
Yahoo Sports conversed with several bookmakers over the course of this week, and here is where some sharp action has been (and the numbers it came in at):
Chargers +7.5, Chiefs-Chargers under 42.5
Colts star tight end Tyler Warren suffered a groin injury in practice this week and his status looks very much up in the air ahead of kickoff.
He is considered a true game-time decision for Sunday afternoon's contest against the Tennessee Titans, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler .
Just two other tight ends have targets for Indianapolis this season, with Mo Alie-Cox and Andrew Ogletree combining for six total targets through five games.
Warren leads the team with 30 receptions and two touchdowns this season, while ranking second in receiving yards. His absence would be a huge downgrade to the offense — and especially to quarterback Daniel Jones.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been ruled out for a second straight week due to an ankle injury, head coach Jesse Minter announced on Friday.
"It's just a decision for his best interest," Minter said. "That's really what every decision is going to be about.
Jackson suffered a left sprained ankle during Baltimore's 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. He has not practiced in the past two weeks and sat out Sunday night's overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons.
Tyler Huntley, who threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns against the Falcons, will start once again as the Ravens take on the Cleveland Browns.
For the time being, Tanner McKee is tasked with steadying the Eagles' ship. And the waters around Philadelphia are getting pretty rocky these days.
Jalen Hurts being diagnosed with a superficial blood clot is the latest in a deepening injury problem, ruling the quarterback out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. The timing couldn't be worse with the Eagles having lost three straight, the past two in heartbreaking fashion.
McKee was named Hurts' replacement. Andy Dalton had been Hurts' backup to open the season but was cut after an interception against the Bears in Week 3.
McKee has started two career games, both coming in meaningless Week 18 games. Last season, after the Eagles had clinched a playoff spot the week before, McKee completed 21-of-40 passes for 241 yards, one TD and one interception in the 24-17 loss to the Commanders.
The Eagles listed 24 players on this week's injury report , not to mention the five offensive players on injured reserve. The offensive line also took recent hits with the sudden retirement of right tackle Lane Johnson and the trade of left guard Cam Jurgens.
Hurts' injury could be week to week, so it appears McKee could be the starting quarterback during a key stretch of the Eagles' season. After the Panthers, the Eagles face each of their NFC East rivals leading into the Week 10 bye — Monday night against the Cowboys, at the Commanders and home against the division-leading Giants.
Can McKee offer the 2-3 Eagles any hope? And if not, how might they handle the back half of the season if things continue to go awry?

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will miss Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers due to a superficial blood clot.
The team released a statement Thursday saying that Hurts asked the Eagles' training staff to treat his calf on Oct. 8 after being cleated during Philadelphia's game against the Los Angeles Rams days earlier. An ultrasound was performed on Oct. 10 after the team flew to London. The results showed a superficial blood clot, but doctors and medical staff concluded "activity and mobility were important and that Jalen could safely play."
The team says Hurts, who did not carry an injury designation before the game, played "without limitation" last weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars and was able to practice fully Wednesday after receiving treatment earlier in the week.
A follow-up ultrasound was done Wednesday which "revealed movement in the small blood clot."
Hurts will miss Week 6 and it's unknown if he will be out beyond Sunday. The Eagles say they are determining the "appropriate course of treatment" and have been in communication with the NFL regarding the matter.
Tanner McKee, who has played six career NFL games since being drafted in 2023, will be the Eagles' starter.
