The WNBA took heat over double standards after letting A'ja Wilson off without a fine or suspension for stepping toward and confronting a fan during Game 2 against Indiana.

And Enes Kanter is pointing out the contrast, as Wilson walked away untouched, while Kanter was booted from his courtside seat earlier this season after Natasha Cloud came over and confronted him.

Enes Kanter has a known affiliation to Sophie Cunningham, having messaged her privately about the ongoing gender debate, as well as taking the same stance.

And on the topic of the Indiana Fever , Kanter isn't buying the league's neutrality, claiming WNBA higher-ups were terrified of them going deep in the playoffs because of the off-court noise.

He said on the Sage Steele Show : "So A'ja Wilson should have thrown out of the game immediately and should have been suspended the next game. I think the reason they did that obviously I don't know if the league wants the Indiana Fever to to go deep in the playoffs because the the deeper they get the more conversation is was going to bring off the court. But look at the ratings when they're in [clears throat] it. They're almost double. So I feel like they it's like a double-edged sword there."

Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark have dominated headlines this season, keeping the WNBA squarely in the culture war spotlight.

Cunningham sparked massive national backlash and fan protests after speaking out against trans athletes in women's sports, while Clark continues to transform the league's footprint through sellout crowds and lucrative deals, including the new Caitlin 1s.

Together, they've made the WNBA impossible to ignore on or off the court.

However, their relationship with the WNBA hasn't been the best, with Clark regularly calling out officials and Cunningham questioning the future of Cathy Engelbert before she decided to retire.
